The Vice Chancellor, Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi State, Professor Chinedum Nwajiuba on Thursday 17th November, 2016 played host to corps members serving in the University. The Vice Chancellor said the Service Year affords corps member the opportunity to know places which ordinarily they wouldn’t have known and also an opportunity to give service to the fatherland and prepare for the future.

The Vice Chancellor who spoke with the corps members in his Conference Room charged them to use the opportunity the service year provides to contribute their quota towards the attainment of the vision of the University, and promised to always avail them the needed support to ensure their fruitful stay in the University.

Earlier in his remark, the leader of the delegation, Mr. Egenti Stanley, a first class Economics graduate of the University of Nigeria Nsukka said their visit to the Vice Chancellor became necessary owing to the huge support they have being enjoying from the University Community, adding that the fatherly disposition of Prof. Nwajiuba has made their stay worthwhile.

The Corps members expressed their gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for giving them the opportunity to serve in the University, and pledged their unalloyed support towards the activities of the institution, noting that the core values of excellence and integrity would be uphold at all times in the performance of their assigned duties.
